Now it’s time to be a lucky person to witness and feel the magical atmosphere of Kecak dance at Pura Luhur Uluwatu when twilight. Dynamic strikes and screams of the dancers can never be lost from your memories. And also enjoy the atmosphere of dinner with the delicacy of seafood in the waves of attracting beaches.
Situated at the southernmost tip of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula, Pura Luhur Uluwatu is a famous cliff-hanging temple. Sitting at a tremendously sheer cliff of 70 m height and facing towards the Indian Ocean, the majestic surroundings of this temple can only get more dramatic by the nightly Kecak dance at sunset. This 10-centuries old temple is believed to be situated at the island's end to guard the people from evil spirits. Access to the inner temple is for Hindu worshippers only, and you’ll need to dress in a courteous attire when you visit. Another unique attribute of Uluwatu Temple is its animal inhabitants, an army of mischievous monkeys. Warning signs are placed around the temple to ensure you keep your belongings safe and away from swift simian hands. But ultimately, this site is all about the view. The temple's tiered black coral rock surface radiates an exceptionally amazing silhouette at sunset and is best admired from two vantage points to the north and south of the temple.
The famous Kecak or monkey dance is performed around 6 to 7 pm at Uluwatu temple's courtyard. From Uluwatu, we will drive to Jimbaran Beach for dinner, enjoying a freshly caught seafood such as fish, prawns, crabs, squid, and mussels. All the grilled seafood is usually served with rice, vegetables, and special Balinese condiments.
