Host Country Events

As the host, Indonesia is committed to making the 2018 Annual Meetings a success and memorable experience for all participants. It will also provide Indonesia with the opportunity to showcase Indonesia to the world, as a culturally diverse and economically resilient. The Government of Indonesia will initiate a number of activities as a platform to bring Indonesian colors into the Meetings with inclusive engagement including:



1. Indonesian Food Festival

Enjoy Indonesian cultural diversity through the taste of the country’s culinary heritage. Selection of Indonesia on-the-go food and beverages available for purchase. Alongside the meals, participant will be entertained by Indonesia Cultural Performance.

2. Indonesia Cultural Performance & Art and Craft

Prepare to awed by curated Indonesia traditional and modern art performance with special themed Rediscovering Panji, which has become the Memory of the World since 2017. Indonesia Cultural Performance: Rediscovering Panji will be performed at 3 stages and 3 different subtheme. At Taman Jepun, there will be selected art & craft by courtesy of Bank Indonesia which concept is as an extension of Indonesia Pavilion.

3. Indonesia Pavilion

Experience Rediscovering Indonesia through showcase of Indonesia’s Diversity, Values, Innovation. Selected strategic infrastructure projects alongside with Indonesia tourism attractions and varies of Indonesia art & craft will be displayed in gallery concept.

4. Indonesia Cultural Terrace (Access through Indonesia Pavilion)

Relax and get entertained at our Indonesia Terrace. Find selection of Indonesia coffee and tea specialty to fulfil your coffee morning ritual or as a break from schedules. Some activities will be performed at the stage such as mini talkshow and themed cultural

5. Indonesia Food Festival & Indonesia Cultural Performance

Enjoy selection of Indonesia on-the-go food and beverages and themed pop-up performance of Rediscovering Panji at the poolside Westin Hotel.

6. Parallel Events: ART • BALI | Beyond The Myth

ARTBALI is a contemporary art exhibition dedicating to build the network of Indonesian contemporary visual arts at local and global stage for over 11 years. ARTBALI strives to provide a melting pot in representing various practices of contemporary arts and to accommodate a meeting point for multidisciplinary practitioners.

7. Parallel Events: I La Galigo

A contemporary rendition from traditional epic of Sureq Galigo, an epic poem of the Bugis people of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Longer than the Mahabharata and comparable to the adventures of Ulysses in Homer's Odyssey.  The epic tells the story of the creation of the Middle World and the first six generations of its inhabitants. I LA GALIGO features a cast of 50 Indonesia's finest performers in collaboration of theatre, dance, music and poetry.
